The Opportunity


The People & Culture (P&C) Coordinator plays a vital role in supporting our People & Culture department's daily operations and ensures the seamless execution of HR processes. This role involves a range of administrative and coordination responsibilities related to employee onboarding, HR recordkeeping and data management, and various HR programs. The P&C Coordinator is expected to maintain the highest level of confidentiality, attention to detail, and professionalism.


What You'll Be Doing


HR Administration:


  • Assist in payroll review and administration including ensuring all payroll changes are captured for processing during each cycle, and tracking spreadsheets are updated.
  • Support the People Partners with communications, filling out and distributing forms and letters, conducting exit interviews, acquiring sign-offs, etc.
  • Be a super user of P&C software platforms such as Dayforce, Lattice, DocuSign, Survey Monkey, and SharePoint.
  • Troubleshoot HRIS issues as necessary.
  • Create communication materials including PowerPoint presentations, letters, FAQs, and guides.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in Dayforce, employee folders, and tracking spreadsheets.
  • Update and maintain People Operations related content on the HUB (Intranet)
  • Streamline and update P&C processes as required.
  • Generate and distribute HR-related reports and documents as required.
  • Administering disability claims including answering employee questions, distributing appropriate paperwork, coordinating with Disability providers, communicating status updates, and submitting Employer paperwork.
  • Draft and distribute HR-related letters and communications.
  • Support benefits administration, including enrollment and inquiries, acting as a back-up for the Payroll and Benefits Specialist.


Onboarding and Offboarding:


  • Manage offboarding processes, including coordinating with IT, Payroll, and ensuring all tracking and documentation are completed.
  • Coordinate new employee onboarding, including ensuring new hires are set up in the HRIS (Dayforce), essential information is completed, and conduct first day orientation meeting.


Compensation Administration


  • Support the semi-annual Compensation Review Cycle including drafting and sending out letters, filing letters in employee folders, and updating stock options in Dayforce.
  • Complete salary and benefits surveys as required (Aon, TAP Network, Gallagher, etc.)
  • Manage PAVE integration


Employee Relations & Culture:


  • Act as a point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns, providing support or directing them to the appropriate resources.
  • Assist in planning, organizing and executing employee engagement and culture building initiatives and events.


Compliance and Policy Implementation:


  • Support compliance efforts and initiatives, including providing reports and required evidence documentation.
  • Assist in ensuring HR policies and procedures are updated, communicated, and sign-offs are tracked.


HR Programs and Projects:


  • Support and collaborate with P&C team on pillar programs and projects including performance review cycles, engagement and pulse surveys, compensation cycles, and special projects.


What You'll Need


  • 2+ years' experience in a similar role or administrative position.
  • Experience working in a dynamic organization with demonstrated ability to adapt to change.
  • Experience using Ceridian Dayforce is highly preferred.
  • Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field preferred.
  • Experience in a Tech start up an asset.
