One of Robert Half's clients is currently seeking a Payroll/ Benefits Administrator to join their team. The production of payroll for employees will be handled by the Payroll/ Benefits Administrator to ensure it is timely and accurate. We are looking for candidates who can deliver strong internal customer service while working in a deadline-driven environment with the ability to communicate effectively. Your responsibilities


  • Prepare and process full cycle semi-monthly hourly and salary payroll for employees; review and ensure accuracy of approved timesheets; track and deduct all garnishments, benefits, and other payroll deductions
  • Agree to current payroll tax requirements and relevant laws associated with the processing of employee wage data, including payroll taxes, employee federal and provincial income and other required reporting
  • Guide staff with pay related issues, general questions related to payroll, PTO accruals, wage deductions, and fringe benefits
  • Experience with benefits administration
  • Prepare voluntary deductions, as well as wage garnishments, pay levies, and other involuntary court-ordered payments in a timely manner, including reporting to the necessary authorities
  • Join forces Information Technology, Human Resources, and other internal business partners to ensure security protocols for pay systems
  • Execute regular payroll reporting as required and assist with financial audits related to pay records and associated general ledger
  • Explore payroll areas, pay practices, and benefit reporting to determine how those practices apply to advise management
  • Lead quarterly and year-end payroll reports
  • Strive towards timely processing of payroll in accordance with labor regulations and standard accounting principles


Requirements


  • PCP designation a significant asset, but nor required
  • Proficient in garnishments, processing liens, and various withholdings
  • Payroll systems for 100-500 employees experience desired
  • 3- 5 years of payroll experience
  • Proven knowledge of Reconcile Payroll
  • Payroll Tax Reporting experience
  • Knowledge in an HRIS system and high proficiency with spreadsheets
  • Experience with full cycle Payroll
