Hours: Mon-Fri, 40 hours
Pay Rate: $45/hour + 4% vacation pay
Location: Remote – Calgary AB, T2J 7E8- MUST BE IN ALBERTA
Description:
The Manager, Project Management Practice will suit a highly motivated individual with proven and demonstrable ability to apply the core principles of Governance, Assurance, Delivery Performance Management & Delivery Quality within a PMO environment. Operating at an 'above-project level, you will need to have a proven track record of influencing at the senior management level and the ability to build excellent business-wide relationships.
You will be an engaged and driven individual, able to lead and motivate a team of technical and non-technical people within the Finance Project Management Office (PMO). You will be a critical contributor in our pursuit of Delivery Excellence and champion the vision of Governance & Assurance as a standout enabling function.
What you will bring:
10+ years’ experience in Project Management or finance-related role
2+ years’ leadership experience, either directly or indirectly, managing a team of professionals
Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)
Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, or Management of Information Systems preferred
Experience with project management systems, tools (MS Project, SharePoint, Planisware, Jira etc.) and processes and how these are practically used in a PMO or project environment.
Have a robust working knowledge of resource demand and capacity planning models, tools, and strategies.
Excellent written and oral communication skills with and strong ability to lead and influence stakeholders across different levels
Excellent problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Embrace, adapt and drive change
Excellent facilitation and consultancy skills
Ability to work self-guided in an adaptable environment and manage tight deadlines and competing priorities
