Manager of Quality and Professional Practice - Permanent, Full-Time – Barrie, ON

DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND RELATED TASKS:

• Manage projects and project teams.

• Minimum of 3-5 years recent experience in leading/facilitating QI/PI improvement initiatives (design, implementation and/or evaluation stages).

• Experiences in key performance indicators analysis, monitoring and reporting.

• Experience in not-for-profit and/or community-based organizations an asset.

10+ years’ experience in Project Management or finance-related role

Certification in project management (e.g., PMP)

Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, or Management of Information Systems preferred

2+ years’ leadership experience, either directly or indirectly, managing a team of professionals

Have a robust working knowledge of resource demand and capacity planning models, tools, and strategies.

Excellent problem-solving, quantitative, and analytical abilities

Working closely with partners, managers and other staff on audit, tax and other engagements

Managing multiple client relationships and understanding their unique business requirements

5 years practical experience with exposure to a broad range of client tax issues

Experience working in Public Accounting

Experience in a leadership and or supervisory role

Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills

Deliver industry and technical expertise in audit and assurance through client interactions, reports, technical work, management presentations and high-quality deliverables

Strong understanding of business, accounting, management and practice development principles

7+ years of relevant public accounting experience with publicly listed companies

Lead client facing engagement teams to complete audits, compliance tax engagements, budgeting, internal controls and financial/accounting transactions

Accountable for engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (i.e., budgets, WIPS, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)

Required Experience, Qualifications and Characteristics:

Acting as the day-to-day client relationship manager.

4-6+ years experience at a public practice firm in Canada

Experience with private companies audit (ASPE and ASNPO)

4+ years of public practice experience, with a focus on audit engagements, which includes planning, executing, and completing financial audits

Designated CPA with managerial experience in an Audit and/or Assurance environment within a public practice firm.

5 to 7 years experience including experience in management and a regulatory setting.

Coaching and management skills to motivate and develop employees and team members.

Manage the operations of the Professional Practice Department and ensure connections with other units / departments where there are interdependencies.

Coach, manage and mentor direct reports, including recruitment and selection, training, evaluation and performance reviews.

Understanding of, or experience with, the early learning and care sector and/or RECE designation is an asset.

• Previous experience in a management and/or high-level practice administrative position(s)

• Manages patient records / EMR and IT system while keep the team’s knowledge up to date

• Manage office employer responsibilities, including the maintenance of records of employment

• Leading risk management and ensuring clinical governance processes are in place

• Collaborate in the recruitment, interviewing and hiring of therapy staff with designated partner/clinic manager

• Collaborate with designated partner/clinic manager when disciplining staff is required

Knowledge of inventory management systems, in particular SAP applications, i.e. the Biological Inventory Management System (BIMS) and Panorama is an asset

Ability to work flexible hours to ensure vaccine courier deliveries are coordinated and managed to meet service requirements

Current CPR certification is required

Knowledge of pharmaceutical practices to ensure quality of the product throughout inventory supply chain, i.e. cold chain

Excellent assessment skills and attention to detail is required to review cold chain breaches and implement required follow up actions.

Knowledge of Pharmacy Information Systems, other patient information systems, as well as various software programs

Address Client issues in a timely manner, following policies and using your strong technical skills and accounting experience

Looking for Managers with 1 -2 supervisory, leadership experience

10+years in IT; 3+ years of program management experience.

7+ years of project management. Previous experience in System / business analysis may be taken in to consideration.

Lead program/project delivery in partnership with technology and product management teams.

Education and/or strong work experience in Information Technology or a related field (essential).
