Description


The T&D Global Practice Manager is responsible for the managerial direction and leadership of the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Global Practice working directly with local, regional and corporate office(s). This includes supporting and executing business strategy, delivering winning solutions, developing high performance teams, and promoting the Burns & McDonnell culture, values, and mission.


  • Responsible for promoting, maintaining and advancing internal relationships.
  • Provide leadership, development and guidance to the local offices.
  • Review, implement and attain T&D business plans across the local offices.
  • Support diversity initiatives.
  • Support offices to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance.
  • Recruiting, hire, develop, and retain outstanding employee-owners.
  • Plan, organize and present financial information, including sales and revenue forecasts to the entire T&D RO leadership group on a monthly basis.
  • Facilitate and manage in the distribution of tools and resources across all regional offices.
  • Adheres and responsible for Burns & McDonnell Quality Control program.
  • Make regular periodic office visits to engage with T&D RO teams.
  • Manage initiatives for sales, revenue and income goals for the local offices.
  • Promote and manage internal relationships to establish guidelines and executable plans for conducting business.
  • Liaise between T&D local, regional offices and applicable corporate initiatives.
  • Manage the development and execution of local T&D operations strategies and goals.
  • Prepare and implement market development plans to identified strategies, including plans for events, presentations, and relationship building for new clients.
  • Responsible for interpreting policies, purposes and goals of the organization to regional offices.
  • Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies.
  • All other duties as assigned.


Qualifications


  • Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills; strong interpersonal skills; and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.
  • Ability to thoughtfully and positively influence, lead and manage.
  • Expert knowledge of project management methodologies and tools including the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer required.
  • Excellent planning and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated success as to budget, savings and/or profit margins in completed projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or related degree from an accredited program. A minimum of 10 years relevant consulting experience, preferably in the transmission & distribution industry.
  • Expert experience in managing projects, which includes proposal development, contract negotiations, project planning, design team coordination & communication, budgeting, schedule management, and client coordination.
  • Expert experience in client and business development.
  • Expert facilitation, collaboration, organization, and problem solving skills.
