The Role

As the Manager, IT Operations at CLBC, you will be responsible for all aspects of the operation of the on-premises data centres, CLBC assets operational in AWS Cloud platform (server, networks and storage infrastructures) and other common infrastructure services along with planning and maintaining disaster recovery location. This includes planning, implementation, administration, optimization and support of CLBC's services to meet Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Operation Level Agreements (OLA). Provides leadership, consulting, technical advice and problem resolution. The position is responsible for the day-to-day management and oversight of technical staff employees and/or contractors.

Responsibilities Include

• Oversees the planning, design, implementation, organization and operation of the organization's data centers, data storage and server farms
• Understands and able to manage resources to provide support for workloads on the AWS Cloud platform.Cloud
• Provides technical expertise and direction for complex infrastructure related issues and maintains the stability of daily operations
• Keeps track of trends and provides direction on what emerging technologies should be incorporated to successfully deliver overall IT roadmap and plans
• Organizes problem resolution and preventative maintenance of corporate software engineering and infrastructure
• Ensures adequate security and recoverability of corporate IT resources
• Researches and evaluates all facets of technology and application architecture, new technologies, product effectiveness, potential obsolescence, and pilots new architectures
• Responsible for Data Warehouse and reporting, CLBC Infrastructure, and Data policy/security
• Implement technologies and services as defined and finalized in the multi-year technology and service roadmaps, plans and strategies

To be successful in this role, you will bring the following skills and experience:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
• Exceptional technical enterprise knowledge of network and operating systems including Windows Server, Citrix, NetBackup and related technologies
• Strong experience with Cloud development, deployment, and management, especially provisioning, monitoring, and budgeting
• Extensive experience for following ITIL standard processes such as incident management, problem management, change management, capacity management.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle pressure and work in a dynamic work environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines, emerging issues, and competing demands
• Experience managing and configuring enterprise-wide LANs, WANs, WLANs, VPNs. Manage the IT infrastructure including servers, server O/S, Hyper-V, Cloud server environments, storage, routers, switches, and all other infrastructure and systems components
• Strong knowledge of global Cloud-based AWS hosting environments including use of containers and mobile application deployment

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Information Technology or Computer Science Or Business-related discipline with five years related experience OR Diploma in Information Technology or Computer Science Or Business-related discipline with five years related experience with seven years related experience
• Experience in enterprise level IT operations is a must.
• Intermediate to advanced certification in information technology specialties and /or operational excellence processes and/or management is an asset (MCSE, AWS architecture, TOGAF, CGEIT, CISSP etc.)
