The Role:
As the Logistics Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient movement of goods across our supply chain. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our logistics operations, from partner selection and management, order management, negotiations and network design.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize the end-to-end supply chain and ensure
- Implement best practices in distribution to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
- Keep track of transport costs and efficiency and work to improving them.
- Manage relationships with vendors, negotiate contracts, and ensure adherence to service level agreements.
- Lead and mentor a small team, providing guidance and support to drive high performance and continuous improvement.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to identify opportunities for innovation and operational excellence.
- Timely and cost-effective transport of goods.
- Oversee customs compliance and international trade regulations to minimize risks and ensure smooth import operations.
Qualifications:
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with fast growth companies and scaling operations rapidly.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in logistics management, preferably in the retail industry.
- Strong knowledge of international supply chain and logistics processes, including import/export regulations and customs compliance.
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
- Proven track record of successfully managing 3PL providers and negotiating contracts.
