Learning and Development Trainer - Ottawa
- Act as an ambassador for the group.
- Oversee and bear responsibility for the success of the new employees and physicians at Appletree.
- Have a pleasant disposition and positive attitude.
- Be available on-site for the entire duration of training sessions.
- Facilitate Injections training sessions for all new employees.
- Follow the content outlined on AppletreeU and in the CHS training curriculum - Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 Provider Training. Follow all scripts and processes included in the curriculum.
- Facilitate Theory and Practical Training Sessions for new employees (i.e., Medical Assistants, Operations Managers, and Telemedicine Assistants).
- Facilitate Theory and Practical Training Sessions for new physicians. Following content outlined in Appletree University (ATU) and Canadian Health Systems (CHS) training curriculum.
- Answer questions, and provide guidance.
- Facilitate Specialty Program Training Sessions, as needed.
- Liaise with the appropriate departments to schedule training sessions for new physicians and employees.
- Liaise with Operations Team to ensure the successful integration of the physicians and employees into their clinics.
- Maintain proper record-keeping for all onboarding and training documents.
- Track, Complete and collect all Training Checklists. Provide completed checklists to the appropriate departments for inclusion in personal files.
- Maintain up-to-date documents for AppletreeU and act as the main administrator for AppletreeU and Coursewebs.
- Follow up with the appropriate departments after the physician’s and employee’s first day with feedback. This includes what went well, and areas to improve on.
- Maintain exceptional knowledge of AppletreeU (Including Injections and Specialty Programs), Telemedicine, EMR software, and Insig.
- Other duties, as required.
- Assist as needed with the successful operations of the clinic while on site. This includes but is not limited to assisting at reception, the kiosk, and triaging patients.
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a Trainer role (coaching, teaching, and/or leadership roles)
- Adept at identifying, taking ownership of, and acting on problems. Solution-oriented.
- Demonstrates leadership skills.
- Passionate about personal learning, training, and ongoing development.
- Excellent communication skills in English (spoken & written).
- Works well independently; rarely requires direction; self-motivated.
- Demonstrates ability to learn new tasks (i.e., experience with a variety of roles, clients/specialties).
- Superior customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Demonstrates progressive experience and promotion within previous roles.
- -Mature, professional, enthusiastic, positive, and respectful of others.
- Exceptional knowledge of best practices.
- One to two years of post-secondary education in a related field is considered an asset.
- Committed and reliable with regard to attendance and punctuality.
- Demonstrates ability to be mobile (with regards to working at different clinic locations) and flexible (with regards to working a combination of days/evenings and weekends).
