CHS is looking for an enthusiastic Learning and Development Specialist to join our team.
Reporting to the L&D Manager, the Learning and Development Specialist will design, develop, and implement company-wide learning initiatives to support employee growth and development that will support our culture of learning. The L&D Specialist has a broad range of experience and knowledge in the field of adult learning.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Managing projects and communication plans at all levels throughout learning projects.
- Delivering learning programs via live or virtual facilitation.
- Administering the Learning Management System.
- Designing and developing high-impact learning plans, comprised of training objectives, deliverables, and timelines.
- Collaborating with subject matter experts and cross functional teams to perform needs analyses in support of business objectives.
- Logistics planning and management of courses/workshops/online learning events.
- Evaluating the effectiveness of training by measuring and evaluating feedback from participants on the effectiveness and delivery of learning objectives.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Have a proven track record designing, developing, and implementing high impact and innovative company-wide learning programs and initiatives.
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills.
- Have strong project management skills and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Have practical knowledge and experience with different technologies and software, including learning management systems and authoring tools.
- An Ideal candidate must have at least 2-3 years of progressive experience in Learning & Development.
- Experience is grounded in a foundation in adult learning theory, instructional design and learning evaluation.
- Have successfully completed of a related degree in Adult Education, Adult Learning Certificate or equivalent combination of education or experience.
- Is creative and agile and can design learning experiences that are unique and engaging.
- Is passionate about the L&D profession and are up to date on best practices.
- You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and can strike the right balance between best practice and delivering initiatives quickly.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
- Proficient in MS Teams, Office 360 and SharePoint.
- Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS).
- Experience working with content authoring tools (Ex. iSpring, Articulate, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point).
