The Junior Construction Manager role is an exciting opportunity to work on high quality projects across the region. Reporting directly into the Director, Construction, this role is a critical part of the construction process. Initially you will assist the Director, Construction with projects but the intention is that within a year or 2 you will be running your own sites. You will act as the liaison between the consultant team, site staff and external trade contractors. Your overall focus in this role is to assist with driving consistency and accountability for project schedules, budgets and key deliverables. You will primarily be based out of the office but frequent site visits will be an important part of your schedule.
The ideal Junior Construction Manager candidate is a passionate person with excellent communication skills that is keen to learn and develop a career in construction management. You have 2+ years’ experience as a Project Coordinator and feel ready to step into a role with more responsibility. You should have a relevant technical education (such as Construction Management or Building Technology). Ideally you have spent some time on a construction site in the past and have a genuine interest in the construction process. We are open to considering candidates from various backgrounds including those coming from General Contractors and Developer/Builders. Exposure to the residential construction sector is highly desirable.
