Java Technical Lead (Rest Api) - Hybrid

Citigroup Institutional Client Group is seeking an Applications Development Tech Lead to join Information Service Group for a hands-on role in design, build and maintenance of various UI enterprise solutions based on full Java/J2EE stack technologies.

Senior hands-on technical lead focused on building out the firm’s strategic reference data platforms used by the Institutional Clients Group in Citi. The successful applicant will take ownership of key projects and components and will be responsible for all phases of the SDLC including analysis and design, development, testing and deployment. As a technical lead, the candidate will be responsible for providing technical guidance to junior developers, including overseeing their deliverables, providing architectural guidance, enforcing Citi best practices, and conducting code reviews. A potential candidate will need to understand system and enterprise architecture concepts and will be expected to understand how all components fit together and affect one another. They will work with a global and diverse team of peers as well as liaise closely with Business Analyst, Production Support, and Infrastructure teams. This role is for a full-time employee based in Tampa.

• A minimum of 10 years application development experience
• Ensure all components in the platform are fully compliant with Citi standards
• Experience in Cloud concepts and technologies: container build and orchestration, infrastructure-as-code, horizontal scaling
• Interact with senior management to define and drive architectural direction
• UNIX/Linux Shell scripting
• Effective time management skills in order to manage multiple priorities with flexibility on time zones and timelines
• XML/XSD/XSLT and JSON
• Working knowledge Unix including shell scripting (preferably RedHat Linux)
• Non-relational DBMS (MongoDB)
• Tibco EMS and other message-oriented middleware
• Deliver implementations of vendor products into Citi
• Serve as advisor, coach to new, or lower level analysts
• Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Java SE/EE 8 and above
• Modern source control, build and continuous integration solutions ( Bitbucket,Jenkins, Team City, Artifactory, Sonarqube, Groovy, Maven)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent work experience
• Logical thinking, Strong analytical and problem solving skills; innovative and solutions oriented
• REST API
• Provide level 3 (escalation) support for the application
• Autosys and scheduling
• Ensure essential procedures are followed and help define operating standards and processes
• RDBMS, SQL, PL/SQL, Oracle DB
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (electronics) and/or computer science
• Interact with PMO and translate reported problems/issues into JIRA items to implement
• 10+ years of relevant experience
• Proven experience building scalable, mission critical systems
• Experience in systems analysis and programming of software applications
• Financial services technology experience
• Experience using Jira, Udeploy, Change control
• Springboot
• Participate in all stages of the SDLC within an agile Scrum environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• Experience leading a technical team – including hiring, performance management, talent development
• Experience in managing and implementing successful projects
