We are seeking a skilled and motivated Java Developer with expertise in Spark and Scala to join our dynamic development team. As a Java Developer, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining high-performance applications that leverage Spark and Scala for large-scale data processing and analytics.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists and business analysts, to understand requirements and design scalable solutions using Java, Spark, and Scala.
2. Develop robust and efficient code for data ingestion, processing, and analysis using Spark and Scala.
3. Implement and optimize data pipelines to handle large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
4. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code while following industry best practices and coding standards.
5. Conduct unit testing and integration testing to ensure the quality and reliability of the developed software.
6. Troubleshoot and debug issues in existing applications, identify root causes, and implement appropriate solutions.
7. Collaborate with DevOps teams to deploy applications and ensure efficient performance in production environments.
8. Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in the field of big data processing and analytics.
9. Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality and team performance.
10. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.

Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
2. Strong proficiency in Java programming language, with a solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
3. Extensive experience in developing and maintaining applications using Spark and Scala for big data processing and analytics.
4. Solid understanding of distributed computing concepts and experience with large-scale data processing frameworks like Hadoop or Spark.
5. Proficiency in SQL and experience working with relational databases like MySQL or PostgreSQL.
6. Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
7. Experience with version control systems like Git and proficiency in using build tools like Maven or Gradle.
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
10. Experience with Agile development methodologies is a plus.
