Job Title: Java Developer / Java with Scala Developer

Locations: Austin, Tx // Sunnyvale , CA

Type of hire: Fulltime

Responsibilities:

• Debug and troubleshoot issues, identify bottlenecks, and propose effective solutions.
• Participate in agile development methodologies and contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and retrospectives.
• Document technical specifications and system architecture as needed.
• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications or Java with Scala applications.
• Assist in the maintenance and support of existing applications, including bug fixing and performance optimization.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following industry best practices and coding standards.
• Collaborate with team members to conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Perform unit testing and support integration testing to ensure software quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical designs and implementation plans.
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in Java and Scala technologies and leverage them to improve development processes.

Requirements:

• Experience with web application development, RESTful APIs, and web services.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and build tools (e.g., Maven, Gradle).
• Strong proficiency in Java programming language.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
• Experience working with Scala is a plus.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles and design patterns.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work on multiple projects concurrently.
• Knowledge of database systems such as MySQL, Oracle, or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Java frameworks and libraries such as Spring, Hibernate, or Play.
