Java Development Lead - Hybrid

Citi is seeking a highly motivated candidate to join the GSP Data Transactions Team. This team is responsible for sourcing, maintaining, and providing this data to downstream users in a timely manner. As part of the Application Development team, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic individual who can analyze business requirements, propose a technical design, and coordinate with multiple business and technology partners. The candidate should be able to guide the team on technical challenges and should have the ability to deep dive into existing architectures and suggest improvement plans.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
• May occasionally work a non-standard shift including nights and/or weekends and/or have on-call responsibilities.
• Ensures proper analysis of problems and programming approaches to prevent rework and schedule slippage.
• Participates in Sprint Planning, Tasking and Estimation of the assigned work for the Global team.
• Provides technical advice and assists in solving programming problems.
• Work on bug resolution and application improvements, such as performance and maintainability.
• Responsible for the development of re-usable services, user interfaces, unit testing, and code reviews
• Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication.
• Participate actively in discussions, presentations and decisions about front-end and server-side development and application design.

Qualifications

• 8-10 Years of Development Experience
• Stakeholder and people management experience
• Good communication and collaboration skills in English.
• Experience with Issue tracking systems like JIRA.
• Sense of ownership.
• 3-5 years of experience managing a global team.
• Experience setting up high availability / fault tolerant systems.
• Open minded and willing to learn new tools/methodologies/concepts.
• Strong Problem-solving skills.
• Good knowledge of CI/CD automated tools like Jenkins, Team City, Jfrog Artifactory, UrbanCode Deploy.
• Experience with Java version 8.0 or higher
• Good working knowledge of source control technologies (Git, Bitbucket).

Skills Are Considered As a Plus

• Knowledge of Transactions Datasets
• Experience with Python
• Experience in messaging frameworks like Kafka
• Experience with RHEL.
• Experience with MS SQL Server
• Experience in streaming platforms like Flink
• Experience with configuration management software.
