Kardium has a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market: The Globe® Pulsed Field System. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.

This opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

What You’ll Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

• Growing the IT team to support Kardium’s needs as operations expand with diverse locations
• Support initiatives related to corporate risk management, as well as IPO reqs (ie: SOX)
• Analyze business requirements by partnering with key stakeholders across the organization
• Define IT infrastructure strategy, architecture, and processes
• Monitor performance, identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions
• Build long term relationships with outside vendors and service providers
• Act on policy and strategy recommendations to IT, as well as remediation reports, from internal and external audits

What You Bring To The Team

You are suited to our approach and possess these attributes:

• An extensive background in certification documentation and the ability to implement ISO27001 or another set of controls from a comparable standard.
• A drive to optimize and improve
• A minimum of five years' experience managing a team of at least four members
• A minimum of eight years' progressive experience in a technology-related field, preferably in a regulated industry
• Proficiency to lead and interact with a diverse team, consultants, and contractors
• A solid understanding of project management principles and lean methodology
• Strong written and verbal technical communication skills, with the ability to leverage these when putting forward proposals, obtaining buy-in, and driving actions
• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or an equivalent formal educational program with relevant IT technical and project management experience
