The z/OS Technical Services group is a part of Mainframe Services within Infrastructure Technology Solutions. We are primarily responsible for the installation, configuration and customization of the z/OS operating system and a variety of software products integral to the System z platform.

This job posting is for Intermediate Level IT Build Analyst.

The successful candidate will be involved primarily in working with all Mainframe Operating System as it relates to:

• Creating documentation as required
• Perform audit fieldwork and remediation
• Coding and updating system exits and in-house utilities and programs
• Assist with the currency planning for various Mainframe Operating System components
• Continually acquire and maintainknowledge of z/OS Operating System techniques, hardware components, features, and tools that support Mainframe processing.
• Investigation and analysis of problems and issues to determine root cause and provide solutions
• Assist in the planning and execution of Mainframe Disaster Recovery tests
• Installation, configuration, maintenance and support of z/OS and other software products.

Requirements

Specific Educational Requirements/Accreditations

College / University or equivalent work experience

Other Qualifications/Skills/Experience

– 3-5 years of Mainframe system experience, with most of the following skills:

– Solid knowledge of Computing and Operating System Concepts

– Solid fundamentals with one or more programming languages

– Solid knowledge of z/OS concepts and facilities

– Knowledge of Mainframe hardware components

– Solid problem-solving skills

– Good written and verbal communication skills

– The successful candidate must be a self-starter, team player, a quick learner and able to collaborate positively with other departments
