We currently have an exciting opportunity at SPM Oil & Gas , a newly acquired Caterpillar company. As an Iron Technician at SPM Oil & Gas , you will provide assembly and testing of various mechanical components.

Job Duties/Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections
• Proficient in tear down/rebuild of manifolds
• Ability to perform high pressure hydrostatic testing of customer flow control
• Assist Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase
• Ability to identify different products
• Ability to perform gauge inspections
• Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components
• Manifold tear down/rebuild Trainee
• Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)
• Inventory of customer product
• Assemble flow control product
• Nondestructive testing Trainee

• Performs additional routine duties as requested
• Knowledge of SPM products and the ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of customer standards
• Proficient with a computer and systems
• Responsible for painting components per customer specifications
• Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met
• Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment and continually maintains and clean and organized work area
• Ability to disassemble and assemble customer manifolds

Required Background

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); with one to three years related experience.

Ability to read, write, and speak in the English language

Knowledge of Database software; Internet software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.

Successful Candidate Will Also Have

Mechanical aptitude and the ability to drive a company vehicle as needed.

Problem solving aptitude

Ability to work as part of a team
