Job Description

Role – Dyno Testing Engineering



Responsibilities

  • Ensure fully operational, safe, clean, and organized test cell.
  • Follow and enforce all safety processes and requirements for the dyno test cell.
  • Ensure all tests are set up in a timely and safe manner. Signoff on the test setup.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Engineering Department leadership.
  • Upgrade hardware and develop documentation as needed.
  • Coordinate with engineers and other technical personnel within the facility.
  • Perform dyno tests on electric motors and drive system
  • Be the dyno expert and operate the dyno as needed.
  • Manage test cell changes and system upgrades with minimal impact on Engineering validation testing.
  • Own assigned dyno and operation.
  • Develop and follow a maintenance and calibration schedule for the assigned dyno and related equipment.

Requirements & Experience

  • Compatible professional backgrounds Electric Motor Systems Technician, Electrical Engineering Technologists, Automotive Service Technology.
  • Solid experience with high-performance data acquisition and machine control.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with other engineering colleagues and customers.
  • Work experience in soldering electronics per IPC-A-610 standard.
  • 6+ years of experience in lab and test environments.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office programs, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to read and understand electronics schematic diagrams and assembly drawings.
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new systems/technical applications.
  • Knowledge of ISO and IATF standards is desired.
  • Experience creating test processes and plans.
  • Experience in electrical motor drivers, motor testing, and dynos is desirable.
  • Familiar with using electronics lab equipment such as power supplies, multimeters and oscilloscopes.
  • Competent with basic hand tools for mechanical assembly tasks.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented personality, demanding high-quality performance from self and colleagues.
