Boann Impact Capital is an exciting social enterprise start-up, responsible for delivering Federal social finance capital to Social Finance Intermediaries (SFIs) and Social Purpose Organizations (SPOs). Our objective is to help build a sustainable social finance industry in Canada by the strategic deployment of Federal funds, raising new capital and attracting new investors into the space.

Are you an experienced Investment Analyst with a keen interest in social enterprise/finance who shares our values of helping build a stronger, better society by building and strengthening the social finance industry in Canada?

If so, your role will be to support the Chief Investment Officer and the Portfolio Manager by producing a broad array of investment analytical reports. You will:

• Research new social investment concepts and share the information with colleagues;
• Prepare reports for review by the investment committee on investment activity and portfolio performance and for submission to government agencies.
• Participate in the review and analysis of investment opportunities from established SFIs and from emerging SPOs;
• Monitor and provide analysis of the Boann investment portfolio;
• Gather quantitative and qualitative data from a variety of different software products;
• Work with the Boann market development team to assist emerging SFIs and SPOs in building a viable business model capable of attracting social finance capital;

What we are looking for in a candidate is:

• Minimum of 3 years experience in an analytical position, doing quantitative and qualitative analysis;
• Excellent MS Office Suite skills, including Advanced Microsoft Excel;
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related area;
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision;

If you have the following, even better!

• CFA Charterholder or enrolled in/planning to enrol in the CFA program
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in French and English
• Employment in private markets and/or social enterprises
