INTERNATIONAL STUDENT RECRUITER


INTERNATIONAL MARKETS


NorQuesters are difference makers and we’re searching for someone who can be boldly curious and intentionally courageous as we work to increase enrollments and seek out business development opportunities.


Reporting to the Manager of International Recruitment and Student Support, the International Student Recruiter supports College enrolment targets in strategic markets by proposing online and offline tools, media, and activities aimed at identifying and informing prospective students and key influencers about NorQuest College and its programs, courses, admission process, requirements, assessment, learner supports, and other services in order to generate applications.


Through extensive follow-up of leads generated by the participation of the college in international fairs and through online marketing activities, the Recruiter will work to continually promote and elevate the profile of NorQuest College. The International Recruiter works independently using tools such as CRMs, inbound marketing software, task management apps, and social media. The candidate will be pro-active in proposing tools and creating projects based on their in-depth experience and knowledge. With a keen understanding of the market, the Recruiter develops online recruiting strategies to maximize market reach and impact. At the end of each cycle, assessing results identifies opportunities for improvement.


How You'll Make a Difference


  • Consistently propose ideas on new areas of opportunity and take lead on resulting tasks. Proactively researches new tools, technologies, and platforms that can benefit the online recruitment efforts.
  • Create professional content for emails, websites, social media, etc. Has advanced copywriting and editing skills.
  • Using a CRM and by means of telephone calls, emails, chat systems and third-party platforms, the recruiter methodically follows-up on leads generated at student fairs and through online marketing projects proposed by the incumbent.
  • Plan, organize, create, and host the webinars, coordinate with the program area and other key stakeholder. (Weekly check-in, program focus webinar, Student online appointment, use survey to collect student feedback, Online fairs, and virtual open house)
  • Work closely with the Brand & Marketing department to support the development of promotional materials specific to international recruitment activities including publications, website and social media information, and targeted marketing activities.
  • Occasionally travel within Canada and internationally to represent NorQuest at education fairs, presentations, and recruitment events.
  • Provide information to agent staff and support agent recruitment channel.
  • Research, organize, review, and liaise with the marketing team to update website and printed information found in the college’s domain, but also in that of our business partners abroad, academic partners, in embassies, trade commissions, chambers of commerce, and representatives.
  • Provide strategic knowledge, guidance, and expertise on the development of the College's international online recruitment strategy; including determining levels of recruitment activities and marketing/promotions required to meet targets, and establishing/evaluating target markets for recruitment activities.
  • Provide face-to-face customer service at NorQuest College by advising interested international prospects.
  • Advise prospective student walk-ins, providing them with guidance and information.


What You Bring


  • Progressively more responsible related experience, including setting goals and objectives, coordination, and planning.
  • 5+ years of experience in sales, inbound marketing or online customer service.
  • A related post-secondary diploma in a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred

SALARY $53,230 - $69,156 reflective upon what you bring AKA your education and experience. This is a full-time permanent position with the Alberta Union of Provincial Employees (AUPE) and includes immediate access to our great pension and benefit programs.
