Reporting to the sales director, the territory manager’s mandate is to promote Merlo product in the industrial field in British-Columbia.
He will be expected to develop in various areas including municipal and institutional markets as well as all other markets where you do not usually see telehandlers such as excavation, snow removal, landscaping, etc. We are seeking dynamic and hard-working sales representatives who have the ability to change long-standing or traditional methods to more cost-effective ways of working. The bonus structure is uncapped and the overall salary package is designed to reward performers.
Main responsibilities :
- Identify customer’s needs and react appropriately while understanding market conditions and local competitor pricing.
- Daily territory management by maintaining strong relationships with clients through visits to customer’s job sites;
- Plan and organize business strategies to achieve desired results and exceed goals by selling equipment;
- Research, discover and establish new business opportunities by prospecting, cold calling and create a client list (70%– 80%);
- Prepare and present business cases to demonstrate the benefits and the potential savings (ROI), to key decision makers;
Experience & desired skills :
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in field sales/outside sales position;
- Results focused.
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills;
- Demonstrated ability to grow market shares.
- Experience using a CRM.
- Strong planning and time management abilities.
