Terms: Full-time permanent
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Location: Ottawa (Hybrid Work Model) | Montreal (Hybrid Work Model) | Toronto (Hybrid Work Model) | Possibility of Remote with occasional travel to Ottawa
About The Role
The Client Engagement Lead is a member of HSO’s Accreditation Canada team. The client engagement lead is responsible for leading the Accreditation Canada, Indigenous Accreditation Program, including the implementation of the improved program that is streamlining and clarifying the standards, and suggesting competencies for surveyors to make the program more relevant and responsive to Indigenous communities, grounded in a deep knowledge of Indigenous health and well-being. The person in this role can take joy in working alongside other dedicated and compassionate Client Engagement Leads, the full accreditation team and many other supports across Accreditation Canada and Health Standards Organization.
Main Responsibilities
  • Support and lead the Indigenous Accreditation team to become proficient in the planning and implementation of the survey process that is focused on quality while working efficiently to meet targets.
  • Building relationships with Indigenous health and community service organizations and supporting them where they are at in their accreditation cycles in the interest of increasing their capacity for continuous quality improvement.
  • Plan, organize, implement, and evaluate the Indigenous Accreditation Program and represent the program both internally and with external partners and funders.
Must Have Qualifications
  • University degree at a Master’s level is preferred. An equivalent combination of work experience and education will be considered.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills to identify root causes and develop effective solutions.
  • Three to five years of progressive experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Deep understanding of Indigenous cultural safety and humility either through lived experience or extensive learning

  • Proficiency in a comprehensive range of Microsoft applications including Teams, Word, and Excel
  • Comfortable to support oneself and others in change management.
  • A leadership style orientation to empathetic, team oriented working relationships
