Position Overview
Reporting to the Sr. HR Business Analyst, the HR Analyst, Process Optimization works closely with the HR team and internal stakeholders to design, implement, and communicate departmental and corporate HR initiatives that support a consistent employee experience, improve operational processes and automation, and provide quality data for decision making.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze, correct, and update HR system data for data quality assurance
  • Work with stakeholders to create programs to support employee engagement, training, learning, and education in HR programs
  • Maintain HR processes and procedures including system documentation, user guides, and training manuals
  • Participate in special projects and committees as assigned, and conduct research and analysis
  • Document HR business requirements for any system changes or enhancements that result from process improvement efforts or new initiatives
  • Utilize documentation and troubleshooting skills to provide end user-support for SAP and Success Factors
  • Prepare training materials and assist with training activities for the HR team, and various internal stakeholders
  • Present recommendations to the Senior HR Business Analyst to optimizing HR processes through performance monitoring, metric analysis, and reporting
  • Respond in a timely manner to end user requests and issues regarding SuccessFactors
  • Resolve and communicate the root cause and corrective actions of reported issues to clients in non-technical terms
  • Contribute to test plans, create test scripts and execute testing for new releases, fixes and improvements
  • Assist the Senior HR Business Analyst in continuous improvement of system design and processes, taking into account unique environments and customer needs
Qualifications
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • 2-3 years’ experience with HRIS systems, SAP and/or Success Factors is preferred
  • Ability to conduct research regarding new or related tools and technologies, based on business requirements
  • Post-secondary education with a concentration in business administration (ideally Human Resources) is preferred
  • Knowledge of HR life-cycle practices from onboarding to exit
  • Continuous learning, improvement, and solution-oriented mindset
  • Ability to demonstrate good judgement and tact
  • Ability to think proactively, critically and independently to make good decisions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, planning and organizational/time management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and committed to a high degree of accuracy. Must be able to gather, prioritize and analyze information skillfully
  • A process improvement mindset
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio)
Additional Requirements
  • This is remote position that can be based anywhere in Canada
  • This role will allow you to obtain a Government of Canada security clearance at the Reliability level
