Position Overview:

City of Vaughan is hiring for an enthusiastic and proactive HR professional to join the team.


As the Human Resources Administrative Coordinator, you be responsible for supporting a Human Resources Business Partner across a variety of activities promoting our organization’s values and goals. Heavy emphasis will be placed on supporting full-cycle recruitment, including but not limited to talent acquisition, records management, reporting and special projects. The ideal candidate will approach responsibilities with enthusiasm, efficiency and an excellent attention to detail. In return you will be provided with the experience of working in a high performing department, an insight to human resources in a public sector environment and the warmth and respect of a supportive team.


Qualifications and Experience:

• Community College Diploma in Human Resources Management or suitable equivalent

• Minimum of three (3) years administrative experience preferably in a municipal or Human

Resources environment with experience in talent acquisition preferred.

• Knowledge of relevant employment legislation, acts and regulations such as the Ontario

Human Rights Code, Employment Standards Act and Occupational Health and Safety Act.

• Proficiency in MS Office applications and Applicant Tracking Systems, with experience in

reporting, statistical analysis and identifying trends.

• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage

competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• HRIS and / or Records Management experience is an asset.

• Excellent computer skills with sound working knowledge of all MS Office applications,

records management systems

• Exceptional proven customer service skills with excellent written and oral communication

skills

• Demonstrated ability to work well independently, and within a team environment

• Excellent research, statistical and analytical skills

• Ability to deal effectively and courteously with the public, staff members at all levels of

the organization, and external organizations
