You are a dynamic, self-starter to support its accounting and bookkeeping needs. This
is an excellent opportunity to oversee the finances and accounting of a dynamic and
growing business.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES includes but not limited to:
Bookkeeping Head:
• Record and classify financial transactions in accordance with generally
accepted accounting principles
• Reconcile bank statements and accounts
• Prepare and issue invoices to customers
• Process vendor bills and employee expenses
• Perform payroll duties as needed (via Gusto)
• Prepare financial records and statements for management and external
parties
• Assist with the budgeting and forecasting process
• Complete tax forms
Media & Administrative Assistant
• Create Insertions Orders for Media vendors
• Tally vendor invoices wit IOs and media budgets
• Request Media costs / kits from vendors
• Provide general support to team members as needed (such as travel
booking)
OTHER TASKS/DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES/EXPECTATIONS
• Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISION:
• Works with minimal to general supervision
SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
• External vendors as needed
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Knowledge:
• Extensive bookkeeping experience
• Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable /
receivable principles
• Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financials
records
• Data entry skills along with a knack for numbers
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and QuickBooks
2. Skills and Abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams,
OneDrive)
• Proficiency in English
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Customer service orientation and negotiation skills
• Excellent time management skills
• Ability to multi-task especially around managing various projects
• Ability to manage a project budget
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Excellent problem-solving
3. Education:
• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Administration
4. Experience:
• 5 plus years relevant experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
1. Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping and stretching. Requires
hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard,
photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
2. Requires eyesight correctable to 20/20 to read numbers, reports, and
computer terminals. Requires hearing within normal range for telephone use.
Occasional high stress work may require dealing with customers/clients.
3. Must understand vague and implicit instructions, and react favorably in all
work situations. Must be mentally adaptable and flexible in dealing with a
variety of people. Is frequently called upon to handle difficult situations.
4. Must be able to deal with a variety of emotions and frustrations in making
business decisions.
5. Must handle novel and diverse work problems on a daily basis.
6. Must have a long attention span in order to listen to people, perceive the real
problems and bring issues to a successful conclusion.
7. Must be able to make effective decisions in manager’s absence.
8. Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare
written materials and articulate goals and action plans. Must understand
people and be able to communicate effectively with them.
9. Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
