Group Marketing Specialist


Why you’ll love this role

The Group Marketing Specialist supports all marketing and administration activities including and communication materials/activities, webinar and other marketing administration tasks, data gathering and analysis, digital & social posts and management reporting/dashboards for Group Marketing initiatives. The Group Marketing Specialist will support the marketing team and be the main point of contact for day-to-day requests and will provide administrative support to the Product and Marketing team.



What you’ll be working on

  • Manage the library of materials, ensuring that communication and marketing collateral is accurate, up to date and meets corporate brand guidelines – annual review required.
  • Gather, analyze and interpret data, producing reports, dashboards or other KPIs to assist in data driven decisioning and planning
  • Manage and support marketing governance & compliance using Workfront and other tools – ensure requisite approvals are obtained and logged
  • Perform marketing administrative support to the team – i.e. tracking of content updates, annual update and compliance review of marketing materials, issuance of CE certificates, invoice processing
  • Assist/execute event planning and preparation of distribution partner and internal webinars, seminars, client events and annual conferences
  • Manage the library of materials including website content, ensuring that communication and marketing collateral is accurate, up to date, reviewed annually and meets corporate brand guidelines
  • Manage and execute webinars
  • Write, produce and distribute communication including bulletins, newsletters, product pieces, emails, pitch deck slides and other sales tools


Working Conditions

  • May be required to work extended hours on occasion (i.e. urgent communications requirements)
  • Hybrid office environment – expectation for weekly office attendance
  • Some infrequent travel may be required
  • Prolonged periods of concentration and attention to detail


Interactions

  • Key external partners include: Distribution partners; external vendors and consultants; industry contacts and associations
  • Employees and management on a local and national basis
  • Key internal partners include: product/marketing team, sales, events and design corporate communications; legal/compliance; linguistics; head office group employees


What you’ll need to have

  • 2+ years of Marketing experience within the financial/insurance services industry
  • Strong administrative and project management skills
  • Experience building and managing marketing/communications campaigns
  • Experience with email marketing, digital marketing, marketing analysis
  • Analytical – quantitative/qualitative skills, able to gather data and tell a story in dashboards, management information presentations etc.
  • Experience as a writer/ability to write effective copy for B2B and B2C audiences
  • Excellent presentation skills; ability to create polished decks

It would be nice for you to have

  • Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
  • Completion of post secondary education with courses in communications, marketing, journalism and graphic design an asset
