- Track terminations and document reasons for not being able to renew
- Follow up with advisors on renewals
- Prepares, sends, manages and negotiates the renewals with plan advisors
- Handle renewal appeals and advisor marketing appeals working with renewal Underwriter
- Assist advisors with selling the renewal
- Access various internal systems for previous renewals, claims history and other reports
- Suggest plan design options
- Prioritize and monitor renewal workload by assigned case(s) and by advisor
- Renewals (60-70%)
- Handle cost negotiations with advisor on renewals
- Adjust renewal rates upwards or downwards depending on case and advisor, apply Discretionary Spending Account (DSA)
- Excellent organizational and priority setting skills and manage high volumes.
- Ability to analyze data and solve problems.
- Ability to work independently or as a member of a small team.
- Good knowledge of GB products and Services
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence
- Task related.
- Excellent English (and French for Quebec based employees) verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to translate complex information into easily understood messages in a persuasive manner
- Good knowledge on pricing
- Ability to manage diverse tasks in a timely manner.

- GB technical knowledge (Must have)
- Ability to coach/ assist plan advisors over the phone or in person
- Good knowledge on "alternate" plan designs and cost control areas
- Excellent knowledge of renewal process and underwriting
- Understanding of trends in the GB industry
- Ability to work with advisors with varying degrees of maturity and product understanding
- Managing competing or fluctuating priorities and deliverables
- Ability to work with multiple stakeholders with different priorities
- Negotiate with advisors and make final calls on application of renewal DSA
- Formulate best approach to provide alternate plan designs
- Finalize best approach to get cases renewed within internal and external constraints
- Develop communication strategy for renewals with advisors
