We are a Canadian-based company with offices in the US and Europe, with our Finance team based out of our Canadian office.

What You’ll Do:
The General Accountant is responsible for support of Accounts Payable, Account Receivable, month-end journal entries, treasury management, sales tax reconciliations, and remittances across our various legal entities in Canada, U.S. and EMEA.
- Month End Expense Account analysis and Balance sheet reconciliations
- Accounts Payable - support for full-cycle Accounts Payable function for Canada, U.S. and EMEA Weekly cash flow reporting and purposes
- Provide support Payroll and Accounts Receivable for vacations and work overflows.
- Sales Tax Reconciliations and Remittances - Analysis of provincial sales tax accounts at month-end and remittance to the respective Governments in Canada, and for each legal entity in U.S. and EMEA within specified timelines
What You Have:
- 2-4 years progressive experience within a finance team environment as an Accountant, Assistant Controller, or similar role.
- Advanced Excel skills, e.g., Mass data manipulations, pivot tables & reporting, advanced conditional formatting, VLOOKUP, formulas, Macros.
- You will be a proactive, critical thinker and creative problem solver with strong prioritization skills.
- Provide input and recommendations for process improvement opportunities to drive efficiency with an automation mindset.
- Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills for internal and external audience.
- Familiarity with NetSuite and/or other ERP financial systems an asset.
- CGA or CPA designation or CPA student
- Sound knowledge and application of accounting standards and principles.
- You have 2-4 years experience assessing the accuracy and completeness of financial statements and accounting records.
- Results-driven with an ability to deliver success in a fast-paced environment with changing and at times competing priorities.
- College or university degree in Business Administration or Accounting.
- The ability to prioritize multiple assignments and competing priorities to achieve required deadlines.
