Founded in 2019, Leafi Home is a rapidly growing tech startup that is on a mission to give millions effortless control over sunlight for any indoor space. We have developed a beautiful and patent pending smart controller for any window blinds. Leafi is an investor-backed venture in the entrepreneurship@UBC incubator with a strong vision for the future and a wide support network of mentors and advisors. Position: Product Marketing Professional

As our first marketing specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our product strategy, creating compelling messaging, and driving the growth of our business. You will collaborate closely with our founders, advisors, and cross-functional teams in an entrepreneurial environment to develop and execute comprehensive product marketing strategies.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee website design and optimization, employing an entrepreneurial mindset to enhance user experience and maximize conversion rates, while staying agile and adaptable to market changes.
• Set up and manage marketing operation software tools to streamline campaigns, automate processes, and measure performance.
• Take ownership of go-to-market strategies for new products, ensuring successful launches and maximizing market penetration in an ever-evolving landscape.
• Create persuasive marketing content, including website copy, blog posts, social media content, and email campaigns, to engage and convert customers.
• Measure and analyze the effectiveness of product marketing efforts, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and use an entrepreneurial mindset to iterate and optimize strategies for growth.
• Leverage digital marketing channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing, to drive website traffic and generate leads.
• Thrive under pressure, keeping a can-do attitude and demonstrating resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Conduct market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape, and translate insights into impactful product positioning and messaging that sets us apart from the competition.
• Apply your digital design skills to create visually appealing and compelling marketing assets that resonate with our target audience and reflect our brand's unique identity.
• Manage influencer relationships, identify partnership opportunities, and execute co-marketing initiatives to expand brand reach and drive customer acquisition.
• Collaborate with the founders to define target customer segments, personas, and value propositions, and create compelling messaging.
• Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitive offerings, and customer insights, actively seeking entrepreneurial opportunities for differentiation and continuous brand building.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of work experience after school in product marketing roles, preferably within the technology industry or entrepreneurial environments.
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Strong understanding of product marketing principles and best practices, with a proven track record of entrepreneurial thinking and execution.
• Proven ability to set up and manage marketing operation software tools.
• Proficiency in digital design skills to create visually appealing and compelling marketing assets that embody our brand's entrepreneurial spirit.
• Experience in digital direct-to-consumer (D2C) marketing, driving customer acquisition and retention through online channels with a growth mindset.
• Website design experience with a focus on enhancing user experience, optimizing conversion rates, and adapting to dynamic market needs.
