Job Description
A career in Deals Valuation, will provide you with the opportunity to help organisations unlock greater value from existing assets and ongoing capital expenditures as well as new acquisitions, investments, and complex corporate arrangements. We focus on a series of services, such as acquisition and disposal valuation advice including deal pricing and negotiation support, strategic value consulting for improvement of corporate and capital management decisions, financial modelling and value analysis. In short, upon being a member of our team, you will support clients to make profound strategic decisions, better conduct business transactions and decisions, appropriately allocate capital investment, and satisfy regulatory requirements with professional skills and in-depth industry knowledge.


Meaningful work you’ll be part of


As a Financial Instruments Valuations Senior Associate, you’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Advise clients on complex financial instruments valuation issues and develop valuation models for a variety of purpose including mergers and acquisitions (M&A), financial reporting, taxation, corporate decision support and corporate governance
  • Integrate data engineering and data science into existing working process to build creative client solutions
  • Support our broader team’s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions
  • Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge
  • Perform audit support work including the review of complex financial instrument valuation and private credit portfolio valuations
  • Research and develop quantitative tools to provide analytical insights into business transactions and asset valuations using market and company data
  • Provide valuation advisory services for private equity and asset management clients with valuation issues surrounding their private debt portfolios
  • Report and present analyses and conclusions including written reports


Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve


  • Understanding of financial derivatives and fixed income securities valuation modelling
  • A strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees)
  • Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and data engineering is an advantage
  • Proficient in common programming languages (e.g. Python/R/Visual Basic/SQL/etc.
  • A Chartered Financial Analyst designation will be an asset
  • Strong analytical and project management skills, an ability to analyze business situations and a professional and personable demeanour to interact with clients and work effectively in team
  • A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and/or coaching diverse people and perspectives
