Demonstrated project and/or people management skills

At least 2 years' experience in the commercial real estate industry

Have experience working with Argus Enterprise software

Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

Knowledge of real estate valuation methodology

Strong written & verbal communication skills

Provide valuation advisory services for private equity and asset management clients with valuation issues surrounding their private debt portfolios

Support our broader team’s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions

Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge

A strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees)

Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and data engineering is an advantage

Help management arrive at informed decisions, by providing value-add perspectives by providing credible valuations

Provide support to team members in valuation technical skills, industry knowledge and soft skills

Deliver in-depth understanding of the value of each entity or asset, along with relevant technical and industry knowledge

Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge

Manage Valuations teams while supporting team members in reviewing their work outputs

Identify issues and propose strategies to client’s management related to business planning and forecasting

Participating in discussions and team meetings with targeted organizations’ management team.

Strong modelling skills with an excellent knowledge of Excel are required.

Excellent organizational skills and capacity to manage priorities

Ability to manage own learning and contribute to knowledge building

Bachelor’s degree in commerce with a major either in finance or accounting

Experience in a professional services firm is preferred, working with energy industry clients would be an advantage

This role best suits a team player with a CPA/CA designation (other accounting or finance based designations will be considered)

Experience with Alteryx, Tableau and Microsoft Power BI is an advantage

This role doesn’t support completion of the Canadian CPA designation

Understand the business/assets being valued, its historical and projected performance as well as key strengths and challenges

Participate in discussions and meetings with management of the companies involved;

Draft detailed valuation reports and presentations to management;

A Bachelors Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, Science, Math or other related field

1-2 years working experience in an accounting or Valuations/M&A practice preferred

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Solid verbal and written communication skills

Relevant degree or accounting / finance professional qualification(s)

Excellent written and spoken communication skills, with the ability to provide coaching and leadership to less experienced team members

Funded CA qualification and additional study support classes to foster continuous learning

Oversee valuations research offering value-added insights into comparable companies and transactions, industry trends and market conditions

Significant accounting valuations experience, ideally gained within an accounting, boutique valuations or investment firm setting

CFA or MAppFin qualification(s) or other relevant overseas qualification(s) would be highly regarded

Participate in discussions and meetings with management of the companies involved;

Draft detailed valuation reports and presentations to management;

Manage multiple engagements to ensure successful and timely completion of client deliverables;

A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, or another related field

0-1 year of work experience in an accounting or Valuations/M&A practice

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Assisting with other financial reporting valuation requirements such as impairment testing, purchase price allocations or other valuations disclosures

Assisting with the preparation of internal and external financial reports prepared by the Finance Team, as required

Undergraduate degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or other related discipline

1-2 years of relevant private asset valuation experience

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level) and the ability to work with complex financial models

Prior working experience with business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau, Alteryx) is an asset

Proven people management, relationship building and leadership skills

Lead interactions with client management, stakeholders, legal counsel and financial advisors

Manage engagement planning and scheduling as well as project financials (budgets, WIP, timely billing, collection, variance recognition)

4 years of professional services experience, primarily in financial analysis and valuations

Lead industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions

Prepare and review cash flows and valuation models

Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in commerce or business administration (accounting or finance major is preferred)

Professional services experience, ideally in financial analysis and modeling is considered an asset

Experience in the preparation and analysis of financial statements is considered an asset

Conduct industry and market research on trends, valuation multiples for relevant public companies and precedent transactions

Prepare cash flows, valuation models and other technical based analysis, projections and forecasts

Assist with the development of project plans and coordinate project logistics with clients and other stakeholders
