Associate Financial Consultant Jobs

Bachelor’s Degree; Business Management, finance, and/or Human Resources/Training is preferred with up to 2 years of related business or consulting experience.

Excellent time-management skills with the ability to organize and coordinate multiple projects with minimal supervision

Define client data requirements, design methodology for issue and data analysis, and proactively collect data from clients and the market

Experience in a client/ customer-facing role and/ or assisting a senior executive

Highly analytical with advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

Can offer flexibility around working hours when required to meet deadlines

Provide valuation advisory services for private equity and asset management clients with valuation issues surrounding their private debt portfolios

Support our broader team’s engagements helping management and boards arrive at informed decisions by providing credible valuation conclusions

Experiences And Skills You’ll Use To Solve

Establish credibility with existing clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge

A strong academic background in a quantitative or finance discipline (Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, Financial Engineering, or other relevant postgraduate degrees)

Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, Microsoft Power BI and data engineering is an advantage

Work remotely with minimal travel expected. Update timesheets daily and submit for approval at the end of each week.

Professional designation (CIH, CSP, CSRP, COHN) is an asset; Bilingualism is an asset.

CHARACTERISTICS OF AN IDEAL CANDIDATE:

Strong, demonstrated interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skill swith all levles of management including Senior Executives

University degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or Health Administration is required

Minimum 5-7 years relavent Financial Planning, Analysis, Operational and business experience.

High proficiency using MS Excel, strong skillset in MS Office Suite and modern BI Tools

Experience with data flows and modeling

Knowledge of Ontario Health Reporting Standards (OHRS)/MIS Guidelines certificate preferred;

Utilize financial modeling experience to support operations, preferably in investment banking, petrochemical, or energy industry.

Conduct economic evaluations, cash flow and variance analysis, and structured finance and project finance modeling.

Demonstrate superior written and verbal communication and presentation skills.

Experience developing functional specs and gathering requirements

Strong debugging/problem solving and analytical skills are required

Experience coding/optimizing/analyzing Transact-SQL queries and stored procedures

Experience using SQL tools, DTS, SSIS, Notification Services

Strong interpersonal and communications skills

Good interpersonal skills and a strong ability to understand business are required.

Project management is an asset

Lead requirements-gathering sessions to extract the functional requirements

Translate functional requirements from design sessions to develop the model
