Program Overview – Finance, Central Services

The Finance team is a central resource to the entire organization; responsible for payroll, accounts receivable and payable, and financial reporting.

What You Will Do

• Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors.
• Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests.
• Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations.
• Execute monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial information and report on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks).
• Commitment to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process.
• Allocate and prepare monthly Income Statement and Balance Sheet analysis reports for management.
• Coordinate Ad-hoc projects as necessary.
• Participate in various department-wide initiatives.

What You Bring To The Team

• Experience with bank cash management systems.
• University Degree or College Diploma in accounting required.
• Intermediate experience using MS Excel (financial and data functions).
• Experience in financial accounting, including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations.

What Will Set You Apart

• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Experience with MS Great Plains, Management Reporter, Ariett, and Insite considered an asset.
• Knowledge of financial statements and financial statement analysis, including the ability to analyze cash flow and the impact on the financial statements.
• Ability to adhere to strict periodic reporting deadlines.
• Strong planning, organizing, decision-making, interpersonal, analytical, and lateral thinking skills.
