Typical Day in Role:
• Assist Senior Manager in financial modelling, reporting, and analysis in support of monthly forecasting and reporting, and month end closing
• Maintain large data excel sheets with key financial data
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy and completeness
• Develop and report on key metrics and support management on planning, forecasting and actuals
• Responsible for completing Finance Templates accurately on a quarterly basis as well as completing forecasting submissions
• Create and upload monthly POWER BI dashboard data feed, validate, upload results, and reconcile with financial reports
• Prepare Monthly Project Forecast Warning preliminary and final reports, communicate the results to key stakeholders, and follow up for the reasons if the issues unable to be addressed
• Identifies process improvement opportunities and efficiencies. Build templates and processes with ensuring data accuracy and process efficiencies
• Provide ad-hoc support as needed
• Leverages strong written and verbal communication skills in support of management reports and presentations
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with team members and key business partners
Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:
1. 2+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst within Finance or accounting role
2. 2+ years of experience with Financial modelling, data analysis using large amounts of data to create financial reporting
3. Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
4. 2+ years of experience with forecasting, budgeting, and performing a month end close
Nice-To-Have Skills:
1. Supporting technical budgeting
2. CPA or pursuing
Soft Skills Required:
Excellent communication skills – oral and written Able to handle a variety of tasks Strong organizational skills Able to work in a team and independently Eager to learn and proactive
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or related field
Best vs. Avg Candidate
-The best candidate would have had experience supporting budgets for technology and would have really strong PPT and Excel skills. The best candidate would be very good at managing time and meeting all deadlines and would be flexible with their work hours.
