Responsibilities:
As a Biomedical Technologist at Biolantic Services Inc., your responsibilities will include:
- Applying best practices and knowledge to ensure the safe and effective use of biomedical test equipment.
- Managing equipment inventory, sourcing parts, placing orders, and liaising with manufacturers and vendors.
- Performing installations of new medical equipment in patient-care areas and clinical settings.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures in all assigned tasks.
- Maintaining and repairing medical equipment in patient-care areas.
- Completing service and related documentation in a professional and timely manner.
- Conducting scheduled inspections and tests while maintaining accurate records.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Experience in Diagnostic Imaging equipment is an advantage.
- Valid Class 5 New Brunswick Driver’s License.
- Preferred: 3+ years of experience in biomedical technology.
- Bilingual skills are an asset.
- Graduation from a recognized program in Biomedical Engineering Technology, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Abilities:
Candidates must exhibit the following abilities:
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout Atlantic Canada (average of 50-75% travel).
- Effective communication of technical information to non-technical customers.
- Ability to gather relevant information and provide well-founded recommendations to supervisors, staff, and clients.
- Effective communication skills.
- Strong self-management skills, adhering to daily deadlines.
- Ability to lift and transport service materials, including laptops, service tools, test equipment, and service parts kits.
- Strong organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships with customers, manufacturers, and team members.
- Willingness to work unscheduled overtime and travel as required.
- Capability to work both collaboratively and independently.
- Proficiency in understanding and applying policies and directives related to the installation, auditing, and maintenance of electronic equipment.
