We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Facilities Operator with a 5th Class Power Engineering Certification to join our residential property team. As a Facilities Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our facilities, with a specific focus on power systems. You will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and monitoring various power generation and distribution equipment. Your expertise in power engineering will be essential in creating a safe and reliable power supply for our facilities. Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and adherence to power engineering standards.
• Monitor and analyze power consumption, equipment readings, and performance indicators to identify potential issues or areas for improvement.
• Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on power equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Operate, monitor, and maintain power generation and distribution equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated systems.
• Participate in emergency response procedures and act as a point of contact during power-related emergencies.
• Respond promptly to power-related emergencies, troubleshooting problems, and implementing appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of power equipment operations, maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized power system repairs, maintenance, and installations.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure power requirements are met and support facility needs.

Qualifications:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• In-depth knowledge of power generation and distribution equipment, including boilers, turbines, generators, and associated systems.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certification or vocational training is a plus.
• Valid 5th Class Power Engineering Certification.
• Familiarity with power system control and automation software.
• Proven experience as a Facilities Operator or similar role, with a focus on power systems.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor when necessary.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations related to power systems and facility operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and electrical diagrams.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills specific to power systems.
