Job Description

Adecco is currently recruiting for a full-time Facilities Field Operator to join our esteemed client, a well-established oil and gas company, at their Sand Cavern Facility near Lloydminster, SK/AB. As a key member of the team, reporting directly to the Supervisor, you will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of the facility. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of the facility while meeting the production requirements. This position is based in Lloydminster, SK, and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to reside in the area. Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support on-site maintenance contractors by communicating the client's requirements, policies and procedures, while leading by example
  • Provide assistance, coaching, on-the-job training and assessments to new employees as required
  • Perform condition monitoring including sampling and testing per area responsibilities. Complete area operations records. (e.g. volume balances, log sheets, work permits and required reports)
  • Participate in the site Health and Safety Program. Report all near misses and incidents.
  • Support operations performed maintenance activities aligned to the site's operating philosophy.
  • Operate the facility in a safe and effective manner, while working collaboratively as part of the operating team
  • Participate in the development and review of Safe Operating Procedures. Follow safe operating and chemical handling procedures and ensure environmental impact is minimized
  • Participate in incident investigations, as required
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all area-specific equipment to optimize performance to meet production targets as per the client's guidelines
Requirements
  • A valid, clean Class 5 Driver's license
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in safe work permitting and hazard analysis
  • Basic understanding of safety and regulatory standards and procedures
  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, SAP, Salesforce, and PVR (Production volume reporting)
  • Minimum 4th Class Power Engineering Certificate
  • 1 - 2 years of experience in control room setting
  • Experience in the oil and gas industry, pulp and paper, or plant process experience
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in equipment isolation in preparation for maintenance
  • Proficiency with computerized operating systems such as PLC, DCS, or SCADA
  • Must be local to Lloydminster, or willing to relocate
  • 1 - 5 years of experience in the operation of oil processing equipment and all associated processes and systems
Preferred qualifications:
