We are searching for a highly motivated individual to join internal Fabric team as the lead coordinator. This candidate will oversee the receiving, internal movement, and a day-to-day team for fabrics. This position is an entry level management role directly leading to our fabric department. The ideal candidate will assist the Project Managers of two divisions on an internal level, and our external clientele. Daily tasks will include working closely with our internal teams, Fabric Floor Operations, and our clientele via communications on the receiving of fabric, and distributing items/tasks to the appropriate team leads.
Experience with Project Management/Coordination and Customer Service in a mid-size business is considered an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Tracking delivery progress of fabrics, and communicate ETAs with clientele
- Determine required fabric with the Project Manager in advance, and delegating the request lists to the fabric floor team member
- Constant communication with on site personnel and outside clientele
- Lead by influence, and excel teams and team leads
- Learn our textiles to increase knowledge of colours, types, and who our suppliers are
- Communicate with our suppliers, purchasing agents and/or designers
- Support The Company’s initiative to develop and implement new systems to improve operational efficiency
- Oversee a small team for our fabrics department
Skills and Qualifications:
- Exemplary organizational skills
- Excellent understanding of Microsoft Outlook, and Excel
- Must have a minor interest in sales, design, and hospitality
- Beginner to intermediate use of Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to streamline/bring ideas forward for accuracy and company growth
- Able to work on a team, and vocalize questions
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment, with time sensitive and confidential information
- Personable, and ready to take on a challenge
- Ability to think critically
