Summary

The Heavy Equipment Operator is involved in the operation of various pieces of equipment to move and load/unload materials such as pipes and fittings. This work exists primarily outdoors and may be physically demanding.

Location: Acheson, AB Yard

Anticipated Start Date: 2023-07-03

Shift: 4&3 (10-hour days or nights)

Hourly Rate: $33.22-$35.68 (Inclusive of employer contributions for vacation/statutory, health and welfare, RSP, RSP Matching, and education and training)

Job Duties

• Conduct safety and tailgate/toolbox meetings
• Operate various pieces of equipment, including but not limited to forklift, CAT loader, Pettibone
• Complete pre-job equipment inspections
• Move materials/equipment, snow, and dirt
• Comply with Company and Client Safety rules, as well as OH&S standards
• Load/unload materials
• May perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be in possession of a valid operator’s card for the equipment utilized
• Front End Loader Certificate
• Organized and self-motivated
• Able to work well with limited or no supervision
• Must be physically able to lift 50lbs
• Experience working in tight spaces is considered an asset
• Must have previous experience operating equipment on an industrial work site
• Skid Steer Certificate
• CSTS-09 and/or CSTS-20
