THE POSITION
Keyera is currently seeking a Senior Operator for our Edmonton Terminal.
Keyera’s Edmonton Terminal includes a rail and truck loading/offloading facility, propane treating and storage facilities, and a number of incoming and outgoing pipelines, including the Rimbey Pipeline and four pipelines connecting the Terminal with Keyera’s Fort Saskatchewan facilities. The Edmonton Terminal is a distribution hub for propane, butane and condensate in the Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan area.
This position will help support the day to day operations at the terminal, and will help bring increased process knowledge to the team.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for mentoring junior staff and overseeing the general operations of the process systems and equipment.
• Training and validating of employee competency.
• Interpret and provide subject matter expertise on regulations as they apply to the facility.
• Set a standard for teamwork by offering assistance to all levels of operations.
• Support maintenance duties as associated with this position.

Qualifications
The successful candidate will be well-organized, energetic, and service oriented with the following qualifications:

• Participate in the facility work functions as a team member with a focus on internal and external customer service.
• Proven leadership skills through experience in past roles.
• Demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and the Environment
• NGL and Crude loading experience considered an asset in this role.
• Self-starter who is able to work independently with minimum supervision.
• Strong team player with proven communication, problem solving and decision making skills.
• Additional relevant experience and educational credentials will be considered.
• Highly organized, reliable individual with attention to detail.
• 4th Class Inter-provincial steam ticket.
• Experience with gas processing or steam facilities.
• 7+ years experience in a similar role.
• Experience managing complex lock out tag outs and managing various work associated with this.
