We’re currently looking for a Light Equipment Operator who will be responsible for operating light-duty motorized equipment and performing manual tasks in connection with such operations.
The job requires the operator to be able to use their hands to operate various parts of the equipment, as well as be able to read signals and use tools. The operator drives 2.5-ton or heavier vehicles and may operate other light equipment2. They also perform routine inspection and maintenance on vehicles such as checking oil, water, and tires.
Key Responsibilities

• Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods of time
• Ensure that materials are properly stacked, stored, and secured to prevent damage or accidents.
• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe work environment for all employees.
• Operate light equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with job site safety plans and company policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and other team members to ensure that work is completed efficiently and effectively.
• Perform pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any issues to management.
• Complete required paperwork and documentation related to equipment operation, maintenance, and safety.
• Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including equipment and materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Use equipment to move, load, and unload materials as needed, following instructions from supervisors or team leaders.
• Assist in the maintenance and repair of equipment, performing routine inspections, oil changes, and other maintenance tasks as required.

Work Model - Onsite (Youngstown AB)
Contract Period - Time Vailidity
Pay - 35 per hour
Available Shifts
Monday to Thursday 9 Hours shift and on Friday 8 hours
To be considered for this role, here are the skills we’re looking for:

• 1- 2 years experience operating light equipment in a construction or similar environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with others..
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions and diagrams related to equipment operation and maintenance.
• Safety shoes, glasses and hat
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
• The base hours of work are a regular 44-hour work week, Monday to Saturday, with the potential for extended work hours based on the business needs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
