Light Assembler - Afternoon

Celestica, a globally known electronics manufacturer in Newmarket, ON is looking for Afternoon Assemblers!

In this role you will be responsible to set up and calibrate mechanical assembly tools used in the assembly process. This role is a full-time position and requires the ability to work 40 hours weekly. This role also requires that you are legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.

• Shift: Monday to Friday | 3;00 PM 11:30 PM
• As this role is subject to the Canadian Government's Controlled Goods Program (CGP) the qualifying applicants must possess Canadian Citizenship or permanent residency status. A work permit status is not eligible for this role.
• Pay Rate: $19.26/hour
• Job type: Full time contract, long term with permanent opportunities
• Location: Harry Walker Pkwy S, Newmarket, ON

Light Assembler Job responsibilities include:

• Use hand tools such as screw drivers to assemble units according to product specification
• Other tasks assigned by lead head/supervisor
• Set up and calibrate mechanical assembly tools used in the assembly process
• Perform a variety of mechanical and electronic assembly operations based on IPC and customer specifications

To qualify, you should:

• Previous experience as an assembler will be considered an asset
• Proficiency in computerized systems and other technologies as required
• Able to lift, carry and maneuver material or equipment (up to 35lbs)
• You must be legally eligible to work, and reside in Canada
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time, consistently bending, and being able to pull carts
