Trimay Wear Plate is the leading manufacturer and distributor of overlay wear plate & pipe, rubber lined pipe, welding consumables, and VR connectors.Trimay has a manufacturing facility and head office in east Edmonton and services an international customer base in a wide range of industries, including mining, oilfield, forestry, asphalt, and power generation.

We are currently looking for a Draftsperson to join our team. The position will report to the Project Manager and be part of an existing team. Ideally, candidates are willing to learn our systems and processes and supplementary computer programs such as Pronest.

Duties will include but not be limited to:

·Work in the project management team to assist in overall project planning, execution, and closure.

·Reading, interpreting, and working with drawings and digital files provided by customers

·Drafting drawings and layout plans using AutoCAD

·Creating drawings and digital files from measuring physical samples

·Using drawings and digital files to determine the amounts of materials required to produce

·Creating cutting files using Pronest for CNC operators

·Monitoring availability and sizes of stock inventory materials

·Communicating pertinent information and key details from drawings to various departments

·Keeping organized files of previous drawings on record

The Draftsperson must possess the following:

·Skills in generating computer-aided design and drafting (CAD) drawings

·Ability to work well in a team environment with a fast pace and tight schedule

·Enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills with minimal supervision

·Assist in keeping a clean, safe work environment

·The ability and willingness to ask questions and request more information when more is required
