Sakeenah is looking to hire a dedicated donor care officer for our organization. Supporting the Development Team, the Donor Care Officer will work closely and report to the National Community Fundraising Manager, and be primarily responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with Sakeenah’s new and existing donors. This will include welcoming donors to the organization, updating them on how their much-needed donation is helping, and informing them of new or different ways to donate.

Responsibilities
- Maintaining records in hard copies and computer databases
- Undertake targeted campaigns, highlighting new appeals and relaying relevant information to donors
- Respond to donor correspondence and queries across a range of media including phone, email and social media
- Work to agreed targets
- Perform other duties outlined by Sakeenah
- Input and maintain accurate data on CRM
- Have one-on-one meetings when necessary
- Promote a culture of quality service to donors by maintaining a high quality and standard of donor care for new and existing donors
- Attend staff meetings and training sessions
- Adhere to all health and safety policies and procedures
- Support, engage and collaborate with the Development Team
- Ensure all correspondence comply with Sakeenah’s policies and procedures, relevant professional codes of conduct and standards, regulation and legislation governing charities’ activities
Qualifications
- Organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage conflicting priorities simultaneously with the ability to prioritize
- Patience, tolerance and sensitivity
- Excellent observation and listening skills
- Effective communication skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English is necessary
- University and/or college education in a related field
- Experience working with women and children in areas of poverty, violence, trauma and homelessness
- Dedication to team building
- Any additional languages are an asset
- Commitment to women and children’s issues working within an anti-racism and Islamic framework
- Ability to mediate conflict
- Non-judgmental outlook and a willingness to work with different types of people
