More specifically, you will contribute to the development of the Public Health Officer program – only offered to Inuit interveners - and you will offer coaching and support to the PHOs in their communities. You will work on the development and delivery of training and tools.
The PHOs are key interveners in the NRAP-TB. They work closely with the Public Health (PH) nurse of their community for the control and prevention of tuberculosis (TB). Moreover, they will contribute to other PH activities in their communities (e.g.: STBBI screening, vaccination campaigns, health promotion).   • Contribute to the recruitment and support of the PHOs;

  • Offer workshop and continuous training;
You will also contribute to communication and community engagement activities in various prevention and promotion programs. You will also be contributing to supporting the organization and implementation of population screening activities for tuberculosis and STBBIs.
You will need to travel to Nunavik communities frequently (for a total of 6-8 months per year or more). A possibility of hiring to individuals who can offer alternating 4-6 months presence in Nunavik per year is also feasible.
