Director, Security & Healthcare Technology

About The Position

Currently, we are seeking an experienced, energetic and driven and strategic Director, Security and Healthcare Technology to join our Technology Division. This position is based out of our Burnaby Office with a hybrid work model.

Reporting to the VP, Technology, the Director is responsible for growing and supporting the Security and Healthcare Technology team across Houle to achieve the company's strategic goals.

Director Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly assessments and forecasts of performance against budget, financial and operational goals.
• Ensure the proper implementation of all company policies, procedures and productivity tools.
• Develop the appropriate talent pool to ensure adequate bench strength and succession planning; recognizing and rewarding employees for accomplishments.
• Provide the resources, training and the environment required to achieve employee success.
• Advise and implement industry/field best practices to improve products, applications and services.
• Review customer feedback and ensure retention of customers.
• Represent Houle with industry associations, professional organizations and affiliations for the purpose of developing relationships with customers, contractors and community leaders.
• Provide leadership and accountability oversight for the team
• Lead a Safety Culture.
• Provide employees timely, candid and constructive performance feedback; developing employees to their fullest potential and provide challenging opportunities that enhance employee career growth.
• Drive profitable growth in the Security and Healthcare Technology Division that aligns with Houle's strategy.

Director Experience And Skills

• Excellent English communication skills
• Excellent judgment and creative problem solving techniques, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills
• Financial Management and project accounting experience
• 10+ years in a leadership role in a similar environment
• Strong mentoring and coaching experience
• PMP, IMIT, Security, healthcare Technology and/or Engineering qualifications in a similar field
• Industry experience and knowledge of Security (access control, CCTV and intrusion detection) and Healthcare Technology (nurse call, RTLS, systems integrations) required
