Healthcare Security officers are responsible for conducting site security operations and being both a positive and supportive face for healthcare professionals and patients. Healthcare officers are a key piece in ensuring that all individuals in the healthcare environment are protected, by being experts at de-escalation and working with site partners to always provide protection services in a manner that promotes healthcare values and expectations. You are an essential piece of a complex puzzle and thrive in a challenging and dynamic environment building skills and experience relevant to multiple career paths.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 0700 - 1500

Duties & Responsibilities Of a Healthcare Security Officer Include

• Conduct regular patrols to identify and document any hazards or suspicious activity,
• Respond to all site emergencies and healthcare codes,
• Conduct daily security operations in conjunction with their fellow teammates and leaders,
• Strictly adhere to all confidentiality policies and code of conduct.
• Communicate clearly, calmly, and politely with site partners, patients, and members of the public, and
• Create articulate and detailed reports after all incidents to a high standard of comprehension,
• Provide excellent customer service with outstanding professionalism,

Healthcare Security Officers are expected to walk/stand for extended periods of time and be physically fit to safely preform their duties. Officers may be required to work any time of day, including holidays and weekends as needed.

Educational & Experience Requirements

• Preference given to candidates with existing ATR & PVPC certifications.
• Must be able to obtain relevant Healthcare Security certifications (Provided), and
• Be eligible to work in Canada,
• Minimum 1 year experience in security or related field,
• Hold a valid Security License for the province of British Columbia,
