The opportunity


Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain and Program Delivery, we are looking for a Director of Logistics who wants to build a best-in-class supply chain program alongside an expert in the field. You will lead the development, planning, and execution of the Wild Fork Transportation and Distribution Centre, acting as the final step to ensure we maintain our high-quality standards in addition to our supply chain strategy as you manage the movements of finished goods and materials within the distribution network. You will build, manage, and nurture a collaborative, highly efficient team. You will continually improve our operating efficiencies increasing service levels and controlling costs while maintaining superior KPI results and fiscal responsibility.


This role will be based in Brantford with weekly travel (1-2 days) to our Vaughan head office.

What you will do:


  • Continuous improvement. You will Identify and implement operational improvements to cost and increase efficiency in all aspects of Transportation and Distribution. You will work closely with the principals related to WMS, TMS, SAP, and IT to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of systems and their development. You will respond to relevant Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and ongoing process improvements.
  • Provide leadership to the Distribution Centre Manager and hourly team. You will introduce processes and transparent communication to ensure the team performs optimally in order management. You will oversee the expedition and accurate transfer of products and materials to customers and warehouses across our network. You will develop clear, achievable goals for the DC and Transportation functions to ensure teams can - and do - achieve goals in line with our organizational vision. You will take ownership of the logistics budget.
  • Measure and report. You will develop and create KPIs, reports, and a Transportation/ Production/ DC Management structure that will provide visibility and tracking of shipments. You will oversee KPI results and set targets for team members as well as yourself aligned with the organizational expectations.
  • Own the Transportation Management function. You will establish processes in Transportation that enable full visibility of all movements while maintaining the company’s objectives and targets to ensure the timely delivery of goods. You will monitor and measure all inbound and outbound orders within the Wild Fork Canada network.

  • The technical skills. You have extensive knowledge of ERP systems, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and RF Technology.
  • The expertise. You have in-depth experience in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, with a focus on Warehouse/Distribution Management, Transportation Management and Customer Service. You are deeply familiar with the ins and outs of distribution centre operations. You are metrics-driven with the financial acumen to ensure the implementation of efficiencies, optimal performance, and cost-effectiveness.
  • A collaborative approach. You thrive in an autonomous but highly collaborative role. You can execute your ideas, meet deadlines and exceed expectations. You are driven, motivated, and ready to help where needed. You respect the diverse backgrounds and perspectives of others. You have an easy-going personality and a passion for delicious food.
  • The project management skills. You have helped steer large-scale implementation or change management projects from end to end. You can create and execute project plans, overseeing budgets, resources, deliverables, and reporting.
