Position Description
- Ensure that process teams expand their skills and competencies for optimal performance; Maintain a continuous improvement environment by setting performance goals, monitor progress and take corrective action when required
- Identify and develop strategies, services and activities to support current and future customer needs in an efficient, high quality and cost-effective manner; work closely with Treasury, Accounting and Plant Finance organizations to prioritize short term and long-term objectives
- Keep informed of industry and regulatory environment and prepare Shared Service Center to respond efficiently and effectively to anticipated and unanticipated changes
- Build a highly agile team of personnel who can adapt to different situations
- Lead implementation of technology and process changes across different Shared Service functions with a goal towards simplification and streamlining of operations while providing excellent customer service to business units; ensure adequate backup for various functions through cross training of personnel at all levels in Shared Services
- Develop and publish comprehensive reporting on key KPIs that measure Shared Service performance; help company with measuring and improving working capital measures such as DSO, DPO and Inventory Coverage; perform analysis related to working capital and cash flows; recommend and implement process changes to improve performance
- Manage leadership team for Shared Services Center in accordance with company policies and accepted accounting practices; includes responsibility for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Customer Claims / Deductions Management organizations
- Evaluate and implement plans to integrate Shared Service functions from business acquisitions
- Provide support for internal and external audits; Enforce company policies and procedures; Establish an effective internal control environment and monitor control compliance
- Establish and maintain effective communications with corporate and business unit teams to ensure alignment on Shared Service scope, service levels and other strategic issues
- Collaborate with IT to establish a long-range technology plan, support evaluations and recommendations of new technologies to improve efficiency, cost effectiveness, customer service and quality of work at Shared Service Center; Prepare proposal and business case to implement technology with a clear quantification of benefits to be realized
- Strong problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret information and translate requirements into implementation efforts
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment

- CPA or Master's Degree in Business or Finance a plus
- Strong Project Management skills; PMP certification a plus
- Ability to identify and implement best practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate a history of strong and consistent attention to detail as well as excellent organizational skills
- Advanced Excel skills including working with large data sets and pivot tables; proficiency in creating and delivering PowerPoint presentations; familiarity with general ledger, financial reporting systems, and online banking systems
- Hands-on accounting experience with ability to interpret financial statements and reports
- Minimum 5 years' experience as a manager in a process-oriented environment
- Bachelor's Degree with emphasis in Accounting or Finance
