Role Summary

Reporting to the Development Manager, the Development Analyst will manage complex development proformas and provide analytical support across various development functions to ensure the success of projects across core Canadian markets.

Core Responsibilities:

• Work closely with internal teams, including Investments, Capital Projects, Leasing, Asset Management, and Finance, to build and manage dynamic, financial models for new and existing development deals.
• Keep an active pipeline based on market research, team inputs, etc.
• Assist in creation of monthly development reports to internal/external stakeholders.
• Assist in the preparation of deal approval documents.
• Assist in updating the quarterly budget and cash forecast and providing monthly development accruals to Finance.
• Assist in the creation of the quarterly Board Book.
• Assist with project administration tasks such as maintaining appropriate records, taking meeting minutes, processing invoices, etc.
• Assist in obtaining site plans, technical and peer-review reports, and conducting research to understand the entitlement process on a site.
• Help coordinate various development related tasks to advance projects.
• Work closely with the internal teams, including Investments, Capital Projects, Leasing, Asset Management, and Finance to maintain the pipeline, and explore other value-add opportunities in Pure’s existing portfolio;

Qualifications:

• Excellent written and verbal communications and presentation skills.
• Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent financial and analytical skills.
• Undergraduate degree required; or post-secondary degree in Finance, Business Administration, Urban Planning or a related field.
• Familiarity with YARDI would be an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under pressure, dealing with changes and interruptions while maintaining strict deadlines.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Proven self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to analyze and interpret legal documents or technical reports would be an asset.
